[Philippines Travel] Vivere Azure, Anilao, Batangas

We were fortunate to have a relaxing & chill weekend at Vivere Azure a few months ago. They were the World Travel Awards winner for Asia’s leading boutique resort in 2023 as well as Trip Advisor’s Travelers’ Choice (I got this from their Instagram page).

It was rainy and gloomy on the first day but luckily, the sun came out on the second day.

Welcome drink

We arrived at the resort at lunchtime because we had planned on having lunch there while waiting for our rooms to be ready. They gave us a welcome drink when we arrived and we were free to roam around the property.

Pool

We were already hungry so we headed straight to the restaurant. All main courses come in sets, so you get soup and dessert with your main course. I feel like the pricing is very similar to the restaurants in Manila. We ordered:

🐖 Pork belly special ₱600
🦑 Grilled stuffed squid ₱580
🐓 Chicken parmigiana ₱620
🐓Rosemary chicken ₱570
🥣 Cucumber soup
🍬 Fruit salad

T and I stayed at Enchant on the 3rd floor while my parents stayed at Escape on the 1st floor, right in front of the beach.

There’s a bit of a walk up to our room but the room is super spacious! There’s an office table inside and a day bed on top of the regular bed! There’s also a foyer(?) in front of the room.

Apart from resting & relaxing, you can swim, snorkel, kayak, eat (lots of good food), and get massages there! They also offer island hopping, adventure tours, and diving activities.

It was drizzling the entire afternoon but I really wanted to go in the water so we went snorkeling for a bit. They have all the gear you’ll need! And they’ll also give you towels and ice-cold water after you return to shore. Such good service!

(Side story: Mom was craving banana cue (fried caramelized bananas) so she asked the staff if they had any. They didn’t but said they could get bananas delivered and they could prepare it for her. And that’s what I call great customer service!)

We booked in-room massages (₱1400/person for a 60min full body massage), but before that, we had merienda (afternoon snack) back at the restaurant. We ordered:

☕️ Iced latte ₱275
🥭 Fresh mango shake ₱200
🥪 Clubhouse sandwich ₱500
🍔 Azure burger ₱610
🍝 Pancit bihon guisado ₱450

It was a good thing the sun was out because we were able to see the marine life so much clearer when we went snorkeling. My ocean-loving self was happy!

After snorkeling, we washed up, had another massage, and then checked out. We didn’t want to stop somewhere else on the way back to Manila so we had lunch at the resort before leaving. This time, we got:

🥥 Fresh buco ₱200
🥗 Caesar salad
🐟 Bangus silog ₱570
🍣 Pan seared salmon ₱750
🥭 Mango sago

I guess if we had any complaints about the place, it would only have to be its location. It’s located on a cliff(?) and so there’s a ton of inclined steps from the parking down to the reception area, down to the dining area, and then down to the beach. It was a struggle to go back up to our car after checking out because we were on the very bottom. Haha!

Had a really great and relaxing weekend and time at Vivere Azure though, and we’ll definitely consider going back in the future.
